Aschheim-Zondek test

a test used to detect whether a woman is pregnant by noting the effect on the ovaries of an immature mouse or rabbit injected with her urine. Also called A-Z test.
[named after S. Aschheim (1878-1965), German gynecologist, and B. Zondek (1891-1966), Israeli gynecologist born in Germany]
