the largest group of shops in the world selling doughnuts (= small, sweet, ring-shaped cakes) and coffee. They also sell other baked products. In 2004, there were more than 5 000 Dunkin’ Donuts shops in 31 countries. The US company began in 1950, and its main office is in Randolph, Massachusetts.
