Teams consist of six players, two alternates, and a captain, selected by the U.S. Golf Association and the Ladies Golf Union of Great Britain. Teams play six 18-hole foursomes (partners taking alternate strokes) and 12 18-hole single matches, a point being scored for each match won, with half points for tied matches.* * *
