Wyc·liffe also Wick·liffe or Wyc·lif or Wic·lif (wĭkʹlĭf), John. 1328?-1384.
English theologian and religious reformer. His rejection of the biblical basis of papal power and dispute with the doctrine of the transubstantiation of the host anticipated the Protestant Reformation.
