Cuillin Hills

Cuillin Hills

also called  the Cuillins  or  the Cuchullins
mountain range, south-central portion of the Atlantic coastal island of Skye, Inner Hebrides island group, Highland council area, Scotland. The Cuillin Hills are among the steepest mountains in the United Kingdom and include 15 peaks above 3,000 feet (900 metres). There are two main ridges—the magnificent Black Cuillins, some peaks of which remained unclimbed until the late 19th century, and the Red Cuillins, around Loch (lake) Coruisk to the south.
