▪ American bowler
in full  Michael Aulby
born March 25, 1960, Indianapolis, Ind., U.S.

American professional bowler. Aulby was one of the best bowlers during the 1980s and '90s, and he was the second person to earn more than $2 million in prize money from bowling.

Aulby joined the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) after graduating from high school and won the first of his 27 PBA titles (tournaments) in 1979. Two of those titles came in doubles tournaments with his brother-in-law, Steve Cook, as his partner.

Aulby's career is notable for the calibre of the championships it included. He was the first bowler to have won all four titles generally regarded as the sport's most prestigious: U.S. Open (1989), PBA National Championship (1982, 1983), Brunswick World Tournament of Champions (1995), and American Bowling Congress Masters (1989, 1995, 1998). He was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1996.
