▪ 2005American ice skater (b. 1931/32, Shelton, Wash.—d. June 25, 2004, Seattle, Wash.), was—along with her brother, Peter—one of the “Kennedy Kids,” the figure-skating pairs team who won five consecutive national championships (1948–52), became the first Americans to win the world pairs championship (1950), and captured an Olympic silver medal (1952). They were inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1991.
