▪ 2002Arlene Francis KazanjianAmerican actress and television personality (b. Oct. 20, 1907, Boston, Mass.—d. May 31, 2001, San Francisco, Calif.), enjoyed widespread popularity as a regular panelist on the long-running television quiz show What's My Line? and as host of the variety show Talent Patrol. She was also a cohost of the television morning show Home. Francis appeared on Broadway from 1936 and starred in the hit play The Doughgirls in 1942. Work in film and television followed. She appeared on What's My Line? from 1950 to 1975 and starred in a number of films, including All My Sons (1948), One, Two, Three (1961), and The Thrill of It All (1963).
