National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
U.S. independent agency.

Founded in 1965, it supports research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. It provides grants to museums, libraries, archives, television programs, historic sites, translation and editorial projects by academic presses, educational and research institutions, and individuals.
