a plant, Dictamnus albus, of the rue family, native to Eurasia, having clusters of white or reddish flowers and strong-smelling foliage that emits a flammable vapor. Also called fraxinella, dittany.

also called  dittany,  burning bush , or  fraxinella (Dictamnus albus) 
 ornamental, gland-covered perennial herb, of the rue family (Rutaceae), native to Eurasia. The flowers (white or pink) and the leaves give off a strong aromatic vapour which can be ignited, hence the names gas plant and burning bush.
