/euh mahr"neuh/, adj. (sometimes l.c.)
of or pertaining to the period in ancient Egyptian history described on cuneiform tablets (Amarna tablets) that were found in 1887 at Tell el Amarna and contain the correspondence (Amarna letters) from neighboring kings and governors to Amenhotep IV and his father Amenhotep III.
