Sunday papers

Sunday papers
n [pl]
(in Britain) newspapers that are sold only on Sundays. Most are published by companies which also publish daily newspapers on the other days of the week, and they usually have the same style, opinions and type of stories as their equivalent daily papers. For example, The Independent on Sunday is similar to The Independent. Sunday papers have more pages than daily newspapers, and are usually divided into several sections, such as sport, news and the arts. Many of them also have colour supplements:

We spent the whole afternoon in the garden reading the Sunday papers.
