a place where many roads join or pass over or under each other, so that from the air they look a little like spaghetti (= Italian food consisting of many long thin pieces that become soft when cooked). There are many spaghetti junctions in the US, but in Britain the expression is mainly used as the name for a major road link near Birmingham:
