Savile

Savile
(1926– )
an English radio and television personality and charity worker. He began his career as a disc jockey and later became well known as the presenter of the television series Jim’ll Fix It (1975–94), in which he arranged for children to do things they specially wanted to do. Savile also works to collect money for British hospitals, and often appears on television wearing heavy gold jewellery and smoking a cigar. He was made a knight in 1990.
