North Sea gas

North Sea gas
(in Britain) natural gas obtained from under the North Sea, mainly off the east coast of Scotland and the coast of East Anglia. Britain’s gas supply was formerly produced from coal, but since the late 1960s the North Sea has been the only source of the country’s gas.
