CND

CND
(in full the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament)
a British organization started in 1958 to protest against nuclear weapons. It was originally best known for organizing the Aldermaston marches in the 1960s, but it became very active again in the 1980s organizing concerts, marches and other events to protest against US nuclear bases in Britain, in particular the cruise missile bases at Greenham Common and RAF Molesworth.
