Bryson
(1951– )
a US writer, best known for his humorous travel books. He lived in England from 1977 to 1997 and then moved to New England. His books include The Lost Continent (1989), about his visits to small US towns, Neither Here Nor There (1991), about his travels in Europe, Made in America (1994), about American English, Notes from a Small Island (1995), about Britain, A Walk in the Woods (1998), about his walk along the Appalachian Trail and Down Under (2000), about Australia.
