(in Britain) a place where young people aged 17–21 are sent if they break the law but their crimes are not serious enough for them to be sent to a young offender institution. They have to go to an attendance centre for a particular number of hours, usually in the evenings and at weekends:

He went to the youth court and got 24 hours at an attendance centre.
