U·ni·at (yo͞oʹnē-ăt', -ĭt) also U·ni·ate (-ĭt, -āt') adj.
Of or relating to any of several Eastern Christian churches that are in communion with the Roman Catholic Church but retain their own languages, rites, and codes of canon law.
