Tal·ley·rand-Pé·ri·gord (tălʹē-rănd'pĕrʹĭ-gôr', tä-lĕ-räɴ-pā-rē-gôrʹ), Charles Maurice de. 1754-1838.
French politician and diplomat known for his capacity to survive political change. He held a variety of public offices during the French Revolution, Napoleon's reign, the Bourbon restoration, and the reign of Louis Philippe.
