▪ 2007American author and television personality (b. Jan. 30, 1933, New York, N.Y.—d. May 2, 2006, Greenwich, Conn.), was the dapper host of PBS's breakthrough financial television program Wall $treet Week, which featured a panel of experts giving their predictions on the movement of the stock market, from 1970 to 2002. He then hosted Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street on CNBC until 2003. Rukeyser, who gained a reputation as an economic guru, also presented his views, which were laced with wisdom and wit, at lucrative speaking engagements and in newspaper columns, newsletters, and books.
