Irish-born French dancer and choreographer (b. June 24, 1910, Dublin, Ire.—d. Sept. 11, 2004, Paris, France), was a professional chorus-line dancer by the time she was 14 and in 1932 formed what became the Bluebell Girls cabaret dance troupe. For more than half a century, she led the troupe, which not only entertained Parisians but also toured internationally, dazzling its audiences with energetic high-kicking routines.
