Grampians, the

Grampians, the
Mountain range, western Victoria, Australia.

Composed mainly of hard sandstone, the range is noted for deep gorges, weathered rock formations, and wildflowers. The highest peak, Mount William, rises to 3,827 ft (1,166 m). The range was named after the Grampian Mountains of Scotland.
