Arab. /rddoob' ahl khah"lee/; Eng. /roob' al kah"lee/
a desert in S Arabia, N of Hadhramaut and extending from Yemen to Oman. ab. 250,000 sq. mi. (647,500 sq. km). Also called Ar Rimal, Dahna, Empty Quarter, Great Sandy Desert.
