Ge'ez (gē-ĕzʹ, gŭʹəz) n.
An ancient Afro-Asiatic language that is related to Amharic and other modern languages of Ethiopia and Eritrea and is still used as a liturgical language in the Ethiopian Coptic Church. Also called Ethiopic.
